Baby Bungalow Turns 8!
TAMPA—Baby Bungalow turns 8 this year and they are holding their annual Birthday Party on Friday, April 11th, from 10 a.m. – noon. The event will be held at the Baby Bungalow, 3106 West Azeele St. in Tampa. Participants can join us for fun activities, games, raffles and yummy treats. The Baby Bungalow Birthday Party is generously sponsored by Baby News Bits. There is no charge to attend.

Parents as Teachers offers a FUN outdoor activity!
BRANDON --- Bring your little ones and join us for a fun-filled afternoon of food, fun and great activities. Parents as Teachers (PAT) program in partnership with Baby Bungalow, the Keeping Kids Safe Partnership and the Brandon Family Support and Resource Center will hold a celebration of keeping children safe in our community on Thursday, April 17th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m at the Brandon Family Support and Resource Center, 1277 Kingsway Road in Brandon.
Prevent Child Abuse Florida is launching the fifth annual Winds of Change campaign to observe April as Child Abuse Prevention Month 2008 and promote the prevention of child abuse and neglect through improved parenting and community engagement. Winds of Change is a statewide campaign to educate Floridians about the important role a community plays in a child’s development. This year’s theme, It’s Your Turn, is about individuals becoming actively involved in strengthening their communities.

GunnAllen Financial to Present the 5th Annual May Classic 5k
TAMPA---GunnAllen Financial will be the presenting sponsor of the 5th Annual May Classic 5k, which will benefit The Child Abuse Council and St. John Greek Orthodox Day School. Mayor Pam Iorio is the honorary chair of the GunnAllen Financial May Classic 5k that is held in conjunction with the City of Tampa.
Last year’s inaugural event attracted over 1,500 runners and raised more than $50,000. This year’s 5th Annual May Classic 5k will be held at 7:15 a.m. on Saturday, May 3rd in Hyde Park Village. The USATF certified race will begin and end at the Hyde Park Village Circle. The 3.1-mile course will take participants along beautiful Bayshore Boulevard. A one-mile Family Fun Run will begin at 7:25 a.m.
A post-race party will feature live music, prize drawings, food and beverages provided by local businesses. Cash prizes will be awarded to the three overall winners
in the men’s and women’s categories. All registrants are automatically entered into a grand prize drawing, will receive a goodie bag and a T-shirt. The top 100 finishers will receive a May Classic hat.

The early registration fee for the 5k is $25 and $10 for the Family Fun Run. Race day registration for the 5k is $30 and $15 for the Family Fun Run. The Fun Run is free to children under five-years-old.
